Try www.lmctruck.com, and the catalog will show a schematic,on the long bed which should clear things up. also request a free catalog. They sell every new part for these trucks. The bed wood was Southern Yellow Pine in most cases and could be replaced, with a lot of nut and bolt work as you will see in the schematic. They also sell kits, although once you get the sizes, any rust resistant bolt will do. Good luck.
