The only reason to use one is maybe if you were going to use a .200 longer stroker crank. That would allow you to use stock 427 low deck pistons on stock length rods. By the way .200 plus 3.76 only gives you a stroke of 3.96 - still .040 shorter than a *stock* 4.00 in stroke low deck 454, so that nixes any advantage there. For the price of a custom .200 thou stroker crank, you could buy or build a complete hi-po 454 motor that would have more bottom end power and still be able to rev and make way more mid and top end power. Basicly, in my opinion, you are wasting your time and money trying to use this engine. mart
