One thing, though, if that truck was originally set up with an auxillary transmission ("Brownie") behind the main transmission the speedo would have hooked to the back of that tranny, so if that tranny was later removed, there may be no place to attach the speedo cable. The front tranny would have a screw-in plug, though, where the speedo drive could be installed, if you could find one to match your tranny.
