I agree with John Ne. here in that adapting the cab of an earlier truck to a late model chassis will be easier than each component to the chassis of the older truck. Considering that you mentioned the F350 as the proper vehicle for your needs I would suggest that you sellect a late 70's F350 cab and chassis for the base vehicle. I think it is the 78 that has the most simple wireing as related to the engin control functions.
