Installing a 67 chevy 292 6 cyl in a 68 3/4 4x4 that I assume had a 307 or 327 that I removed. In putting the 6 in so far I have had to remove the crossbrace that the engine mounts attach to. Also the crossbrace is not wide enough for the oil pan, snug fit. So the question of the day is does this engine change require the mounts from the 67 and just exactly what & why am running into this problem when I thought chevy was pretty standard in the engine interchangeability. The 67 is a 1/2 ton 2wd by the way. To really confuse things I suspect that the V8 was not original, only a hunch. Help with any insight on what I am running into would be appreciated. Thanx--
