What's that called?Posted by CHARLES on April 25, 2002 at 07:16:25 from (129.59.252.147): OK. I feel like I am making some progress on deciding what I want. I could still do a frame-off restoration, I suppose, dropping a 40s cab on a late model truck or motor home. My father tells me that this sort of thing has been done all over the East Coast (that's what he said) for the last thirty years. What is this process called? I would like to to start looking into some stats of successful "conversions" to see what combinations work best together. I would like the end product to LOOK like a 40s Heavy Duty but work like a 70s F350. Does this process even have a name? Its not "hotrodding" and "conversion" doesn't seem to hit the nail on the head either. Thanks for the input.
