Thanks guys.I did go over to the "Diesel stop" and they all seemed to say that it can be done but it is a job and a half.This ambulance had 2 things of value to me,the motor and 4 new 235/85 radials on 4 one ton aluminum rims.Would have looked nice on my pick-up. At their meeting last night it was said that I had the high bid but they decided to keep the wheels and tires.
I told them I don't do business like that and that they're lucky I'm a nice guy because I just said good bye.Maybe this story will end here.
As far as "just going out and buying a diesel pickup"............two kids in college.Thanks again and I'll let you know if it doesn't end here. AJ
