You'll need the regulator that goes with that particular alternator, unless you're getting a late model one with the regulator electronic and internal. You'll need the plastic wire plug-ins that the alternator needs to connect to the circuit, a wiring schematic for the type of vehicle that your alternator came from, so you will be sure to get the right wires hot. Also you may want to check if the alternator will bolt into the mounting bracket, and line up with the belt pulleys, may need to do some fabrication there. Actually not as hard as it sounds, but make all your wiring connections good soldered ones, and be double sure your ground wires are connected, batt,to block, to frame, to body, as they are probably getting needy at this age.
