In the 1970's, when I was farming I had some one ton dually's. They did have trouble with traction. You can put things in the back to weight it down, but then you are carrying around a lot of unsightly things, and using cargo space. Why not buy some steel plate, and bolt it down. Remember the liability if the stuff you are carrying around goes flying if you spin out. The plate steel bolted down will not come loose, and several layers can add up. right now I have a one ton that is not a dually, and it has a heaby service body with a rack and tools, and an air compressor. It has good traction. Ice doesn't count, the only thing that has good traction is what you land on when you slip.
