If you aren't a stickler for using Ford parts the cheapest and easiest may be a Delco with the built in regulator. All you have to do is run the battery wire to the big terminal on the alternator and supply switched power to the terminal of the regulator farthest from the power wire. If you have an idiot light, it's run by the other terminal
