76 dodge power wagon...Front end bearing out????

I just today bought a 76 dodge power wagon has a very nice body 4x4 short box half ton...but the front drive shaft has been taken off...the previous owner says there is a bearing out in the front end somewhere...I guess it makes some noise or something so he took the front driveshaft off..the truck doesnt have a engine at the moment but i have a hopped up 360 to drop in and go but i need to figure this bearing thing out first??? any ideas on what it could be?? ive never had one apart before??? is that stuff i could do myself or do i need special tools and talent to take on such a project???
