Bolt in replacement for Chev 292 engine?

Posted by Bob in Australia on December 26, 2004 at 19:31:19 from (211.30.76.157):

I own an Australian assembled Bedford truck (British
designed GM truck very similar to Chev)

It is a 1974 build with original Mexican Chev 292
engine (it is a real international truck!). It bolts up to a 4
speed Bedford gearbox almost identical to Chev 4
speed gear box, then 2 speed Bedford rear axle. Truck
weighs 4 tons and will carry 6 tons.

Which other GM engines have the same flywheel and
bellhousing bolt pattern as the 292?

Thanks

Bob
