We went through a similar experience with some Ford F750 school busses. The supplier started sending the plastic king pin bushing kits. After about 2 years, we checked the records and discovered we were replacing them every major service at 6 month intervals. One bus we knew still had brass was going strong 3 or 4 years later. Needless to say, we did not install another set of plastic bushings, ever.
