I would like to put in a GM V8. There are plenty of GM
V8s here in Australia in Holden cars made by GM

A friend has suggested a Perkins diesel (were an
option in many Bedford trucks, but use an adaptor to
gear box) or an Izuzu diesel also with adaptor. Also
suggested using Izuzu 5 speed overdrive gear box.
