I would try several other shops to get a few more opinions/prices. I had my 2150 Oliver radiator at a repair shop,it was a bit rough with leaking seams and a split top tank. The radiator guy said he couldn't guarntee a repair on somthing in that condition. I said I did not expect a guarntee, just give it your best shot, and I am willing to pay you for whatever time you need to spend on it. He went to work with lots of solder and several little repair and stiffiner patches he cut from sheet brass. His repair cost about 10% of a new radiator's cost I thought that if the repair got me another couple of years out of it,the money would be well spent. 20+ years later that old radiator is still leak free. his repair and modification to the top tank fixed the flexing that caused the original problem.
