What's a fair price for a rough M-38 Kaiser Jeep?

My dad left me a 1967 Kaiser M-38 Canadian Military Jeep. The top is good, it's strong mechanically, but the body got eaten badly by rust one winter it spent in a heated garage getting a motor job. Registration is complete.

I have left it sitting outside for three years. The tires are still up and it should start with a tow. 24v system, military tires.

A guy is coming to look at it as a parts source for a restoration.

I told him we could start talking at $1000 CDN.

The truck has 38,000 miles on it. Body panels are extensively rusted: there's a big hole under the driver's feet, and I assume the frame is no better, though it is still square.

The Jeep is complete.

Opinions?
