Tim, Yes you can. Basically .....
1st.. find a 73 to 79 Crew cab either 3/4 or 1t truck.
2nd.. strip all the frontend supension parts.
3rd.. Remove your frontend parts from your 74, start reinstalling on the crew cab truck. Least amount of modifyication.
There are some Crewcab,4x4, shortboxes outthere. And some regular ol crewcab,4x2,longboxes too, (my pick)
Now that doesn't mean you can't go the 'cut the frame route' though. And piece it together.
Yes this is a very abbriviated version, but it gets the point accross.
OBTW...You might upgrade the setup by useing front end supension parts off of a 88 up F350 1t 4x4. You might consider changeing out the rear supension too. So all things are equal, Anyway have fun.
