Sounds like a good project. My only worry is that if it hauled fertilizer that even the heavy steel frame might be rusted badly. But they were stout trucks. I drove one in the Army that had a big 6 in it and not the V8 and it held up very well. I would imagine getting parts for it would not be too hard.
