Well thats a new one on me, we used to call model A's and 32 fords that had the running boards and fenders removed but were not channeled "highboys". We also refer to flatdeck trailers "highboys" as opposed to lowboys. Always a new usage for an old word, Take the johnson bar for example covers everything from a reverse lever on a cat to a flex bar in a toolbox. I have also heard a shift lever for a brownie in a truck refered to as (you guessed it) a johnson bar.
