Emotional Dilema: Old Truck vs. New

Hey guys. I have the oportunity to buy a 1993 Dodge with a 5spd and a Cummins Diesel. Unfortunately to do that I have to sell my 1973 F-250 Camper Special 390 V-8 4spd. The old Ford needs a gooseneck ball hitch, rear hitch, brake controller, and rear engine seal fixed. The door/window seals are a little dry and rattley too. The 390 gets about 15-16 mpg highway empty. It was an Arizona truck so the only rust is small on rear fenders. It is very straight and all. I need to spend about $1000 to get it haul-worthy. The Dodge however is the diesel and has 150K miles on it. I know if I am putting miles on it, that will be the better vehicle, but I am partial to the old big block rumble. What should I do. I figure I could sell the Ford for $3500 but should I? Old vs. New guys. I like old iron, I like Cummins. I dunno!
