a 65 will not have a hydro clutch they stopped that in 62 or 63 the linkage from the clutch pedal tothe throw out arm may have popped out happens all the time on my 66 one was to tell is push down on the pedal if there isn't much pressure thats probably the cause just crawl under and pop it back in
