I have some sources for parts including operators manuals and shop manuals. First suggestion I have is to find a magazine store that carries Hemmings motor news or get online with that site to get a magazine. lots of suppliers there. Other sites are chevys of the 40's that has a website. Jim Carter's in Independence, MO has a nice truck selection of parts and info. I can't recall the names now but in OK city, OK, and Lebanon, OR is a couple more good stores. I am confused by the question a little. It sounds like you are sure these trucks are from 42-46 by the subject title. A 41 truck would look like this body style too and they continued using the Art Deco style bodies into the 47 model year especially on big trucks before they went with the style carried into the early 50 years. I have a 47 1.5 ton parts truck like that. Also you might look at contacting Chevrolet or the chevy collectors groups you might find info on in the Hemmings. Hope that helps. If you do have a 42 or 43 it would be a prize. Would about have to be a military truck. I have a 46 half ton. If I remember right, the VIN isn't necessarily anywhere on the truck but is on the title. If that is how you know your VIN, you are in pretty good shape already. I have another truck that the title has been many years lost and the body numbers are all that I can use to ID the truck.
