2003 Chevy fuel pumpPosted by Bob NC on April 16, 2005 at 07:22:23 from (71.0.184.87):
I have a C-1500 Chevy with the 4.8 liter engine with 113,000 miles. I'm starting to notice a whining noise coming from the fuel tank area when its hot and the fuel is below a 1/4 tank. I can then fill it up and the noise dies down. My previous truck a 96 C-1500 the fuel pump when out on it about 140,000. Is this a case of history repeating itself. Do I need to go ahead and replace pump before it leaves me stranded somewhere. Anyone with a model like this had fuel pump problems yet. Any advice and comments appreciated. thanks, Bob
