Both,the cummins and the 6,9 and 7,3 are good engines.But it doesn't have to be a powerstroke.For all-out reliability and cost of repairs I'd stick with an engine without any electronics.My brother-in -law and me both have 7,3 non turbo F250s,before that 6,9s.His 1986 6,9 went 600000KM,was rebuilt and drove another 600000KM,The Body gave out in the truck,the engine still runs,no power left,but runs.It went through 3 Injectionpumps,but at$450cdn,one can afford to replace them.One injector on the Powerstroke costs close to that much!
