My stalled restoration is back on!

I broke one of the rear cab mounts when I worked on it last and was wondering if anyone had come up with a better mounting solution, or if I should just fab up a new shackle for the one I broke?

Other areas I need info include the installation of bear claw latches.. bought the kit but wanted to put the latch on the cab frame and the striker on the door. Anyone done something similar?

Also wanted to find out what others have done about moving the gas tank to under the bed. What late model car can I pull a tank from and get it to work fairly easily? I had heard something about chevelles.. but don't remember what years?

I'm sure I'll have more ???'s soon. Anyone in the St. Louis, MO area? I'll probably have to pay for much of the wok to be done as I am short on time. Also need to find someone to rebuild my 1972 350 motor for this truck.
