Sheet metal supplierPosted by BTD on May 20, 2002 at 10:28:23 from (198.36.89.12):
I'm almost to the point of starting to repair the sheet metal on my 1986 F-150. Does anyone know of a good supplier? I'm looking at the Ford Truck Enthusiasts website and their stuff is mostly 19 gauge steel. I've heard LMC Truck has parts that range from good fit to not very close import and that JC Whitney is worse. I'm leaning towards the Ford Truck website mainly on the 19 gauge claim, I'm a beginning welder and have been told that thicker panels will be more forgiving of a new welders errors. I'm mostly worried about burn through. Thanks for any and all advice! -BTD
