Matt, NO!, Chevy didn't put the 400 SB in the Mediums The 292 big, 350, 366, 427 were the engine choices from late 60s till the late 80s.
Your truck probably came with a 350 truck motor, a 400 will bolt up and work. I would stay with a 4 bolt main block assembly. if you do.
