Start by checking for spark at one of the spark plugs. If you don't have a spark tester, you can take a spare spark plug, and open the gap up to 3/16" or so. Connect one of the spark plug wires to it, and lay it on a metal part of the engine, or clamp it to a metal bracket, etc, with a Vise-Grip.

Have someone try to start the engine while you watch for spark at the test spark plug. Check that out and post back.

(Could the engine have tipped enough in it's mounts while cornering to smack the distrbutor cap into the firewall, breaking the cap and/or the rotor?)
