Converting 1976 F100 2wd to 4wd??

Hello Ford Truckers,

Is it possible to convert my smick 1976 F100 2wd to 4wd by adding the front diff, transfer case etc etc. Half the people i talk to say no, the other half say yes but it is a huge job. I have the time and want to try, but only if it is doable. Can anyone give me the wisdom of their F100 knowledge and get back to me, either here or direct to my email. I won't hold you to your opinion or anything sinister like that, just like some opinions.
