1954 Dodge Model V

Have been looking for an early 1950's Dodge Truck tractor. Came across a 1954 Model V. Has a hemi V-8 engine. Has been sitting quite awhile. Cab not bad. No trans, and pumpkin is out of rear. Does anyone know what model trans and rears these trucks had and up to what years will interchange? From what I remember on Dodge interchangeabliity, it was not good. Is this truck worth restoring or not? I do hate to see it get cut up. Thanks, Phil
