Replace the fuel filter. If that don't fix it, check
the fuel pump and other restrictions to fuel
getting to the carb. Also the choke could be
stuck shut or partially shut. My 81 is doing that
right now. I have 4 80s F150s with the 300
right now. I have owned 8 of them. Other good
sites to go onto are fordsix.com ford-truck.com
If the fuel pump is weak, check to see if the
rubber seperator on the back of the fuel pump
is ruptured. One of my trucks had that
happen,,, it was low on power and at the
same time it was pouring excess fuel into the
engine crankcase and mixing it with the oil,,
thus diluting the oil and making more wear to
the internals.
