The only problem I had was being cold natured untill the engine warmed up. But if you don't have duels from the exhaust manifolds back, I wouldn't do the plugs in the port trick. Your Chevy truck and the Ford have different converters, and this will change the sound of the exhaust. And if the Ford has the converter that came on the truck, it's a good bet that it's 2/3 stopped up.
