mack brakes

I know this is past the cut off date but i need some help on an 88 Mack R model semi tractor.We are going to save the brake shoes and pads but one of the springs that hold the pads on has broke. The pivot pin/rod and bushing is also going to be replaced. Will I have to pull the whole hub drum and axle nut etc?........If not what do i have to remove besides the wheels?
