I recently bought a 49 Chev pu at auction, it also came with what the owner said was the original engine. The engine that is in it has the serial # near the distributor of F404H. It has a tin cover on the side of the block, Chevrolet on the valve cover, and a Rochester carb. The motor that came with it has serial # near the fuel pump of GM25 3835-794. It has a tin cover on the block and head and a Carter carb, can any one id these motors, such as year of mfg. Thanks, Darrell
