Looking for the best combination for a tow vehicle, not a daily driver. Want it set up to tow anything I want to drag home. Something in the late 70s to late 80s. Diesel or 460V8 with a C6 and dually. What years have the best diesels and what do I look for in a used diesel. I know how to rebuild gas engines and auto trannys, but no experience with diesels. What mileage do they get vs 460s? thanks
