If you want to haul big equipment trailers buy a light s/a Freightliner, Navistar, etc. It will be more efficient and you can have brakes (air) as well as power. If you want like myself a runabout hauling up to a half ton, no one builds it. You could put a 250 to 300 cubic inch in a pickup, (in line 6) and get some real efficiency. I saw a 329 cubic inch Turbo Charged Deere in a Chevy. 1800 rpm at 60mph., giving 42 miles to Canadian gallon.
