The last FWD heavy duty all wheel drive plow truck was built in 1992, they are still in business as Seagrave fire apparatus,I visited factory twice when they were building the FWD's. A couple years ago, There was talk of them starting up plow truck manufacture again, but have yet to see one. FWD's were equipped with Detroits,or Cummins diesels; and Waukesha,International and Ford gas engines. A few built in the late 50's using air-cooled Deutz engines. FWD built their own axles and transfers, but other axles were sometimes used depending on the customer. Occasionally a used FWD comes up for sale, but getting scarcer. Do you have a picture of your FWD's Don and John?
