1963 International Loadstar 1600 BrakesPosted by mc_Mike on June 21, 2005 at 18:12:06 from (205.188.116.137):
I need help. I am having a problem with the brakes. I have installed all new lines through out the truck, and have pressure bled the lines several times, with no luck. I still don't have brakes on the first pump of the pedal. It acts like air even though I have a good stream of fluid out of all the bleeders. I can pump the brake pedal and I the brakes work, and hold. The pedal stays firm. I don't know what to try next. I am thinking that maybe the shoes are wore too much and there is not enough stroke in the wheel cylinder on the first pump? Could it be the master? I didn't think it would the master since the pedal holds once pumped up but I don't know. Please help.
