'82 Ford F-250

Out in on of my old barns I found an '82 F-250. It is gas. Along with it I found an old 2 stall horse trailer. Would this truck have the power to pull the trailer? What would be the maximum load I could haul? I imagine this is what the previous owner did. The truck is not running but I am in the proceess of pulling both the truck and the trailer out and working on them. If all possible I would rather use this truck to haul the trailer than my GMC Sanoma or my GMC 1500 4x4. I really do not know anything Fords. Any info on this truck would be very helpful.
