Resistance wire from ignition switch goes to (+) on coil. Wire from "R" on starter solenoid goes to (+) side of coil. Wire from (-) side of coil goes to breaker points.

(Wire from "R" terminal on starter solenoid jumpers over to coil to overide the resistance wire and give full battery voltage to the coil during cranking for better starts.)
