Dern Dash Lights (79 F100)

I was proud of my truck Saturday,went on a pretty long trip to pull tractors and it made it fine with the ac cooling mt good all the way.On the way back the very left dashlight was out so upon bumping the dash the light flickered on then the whole set of lights went out and the smell of a hot wire was present so I turned them off and came home.What should I look for and where?Thanks
