my favoritePosted by hay on March 01, 2002 at 06:33:23 from (207.218.204.148):
1951 chevy 3/4 ton pickup. i bought it from my uncle in 1970 with over 300,000 miles on it. drove the daylights outta it and then overhauled it and drove it some more. it had heavy duty farm type bumpers and overload springs and could really carry some weight. every time i see one of these trucks now i think about the "good ol' days" when i had one. they were not as reliable as todays trucks and required a lot of work to keep them up,but it was my first and favorite. a man in my area has a 1951 chevy he has restored and just drives around slowly(i guess to show off) and man, do they ever look small compared to my 1993 f-150.
