'49 Chevy 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton chassis differences

I have come across a ton 5 window Chevy for sale that is in need of a steering box.

I know where there is a 3/4 ton chassis that has been sanded, primed, and painted, and set up for a V-8 with automatic transmission, and it has a steering box. It is an Ebay item that didn't sell.

Rather than just robbing the steering box I'm wondering about just moving the body of the on over onto it.

Since I have been dealing with my 1 ton straight frame chassis I know nothing about the differences between the 3/4 ton and the 1/2 ton.

Would one of you enlighten me please.
