I think the cab is the same and will switch over to the 3/4 ton chassis. The 3/4 ton has a full floating rear axle instead of the semi floating acle on the half ton, which is the same type as on passenger cars. The wheelbase is longer, too. The pickup box has three stake pockets on each side on the 3/4 ton where the 1/2 ton has two on each side. I never had the half ton, so I don't know if the steering gear box is the same. I don't think you'll have trouble with the wiring.
