54 F-100 exhaust question

I have a 54 F-100 with a chevy 350 in it. I plan on putting headers (block hugger or regular?)on and wonder what exhaust pipe would fit from the headers back to the (yet to be installed) mufflers. Should I have a cross over pipe? Does this setup need to be all custom fabricated or is there some off-the-shelf pipes I could use?
