Loadstar 1800/mv446

I am trying to find an MV engine for a 1978 Loadstar 1800 dumptruck. The original motor is beyond bad. I have not been able to find a used one. Does anyone know where I can get an inexpensive one? Is it possible to use a GM motor with a GM adapter for the transmission? Does anyone know what transmission should be in this thing?
