The base of the TBI unit is taller than the average carb so some air cleaners do not fit well. Since you work in the parts store, take one outside and place it over the TBI base to see how it fits. The only problem usually is the arch on top of the TBI unit is too tall for some of the smaller aftermarket cleaners. Most fit fine though.
