A step side? So you have a half ton or a three quarter ton? six bolt wheels or eight bolt wheels? Either way, most of these trucks used the 235c.i. Chevy Six. used from 1962 back to roughly 1952, in cars and small trucks. Or you can put in about whatever you want, that engine compartment is pretty good sized. If you surf the classic chevy sites, you'll find break downs of your vehicles serial no. Don't bother general motors, they care about today and tomorrow, not what was built 45 years ago.
