69 GMC 100 Kingpin and bushings need advicePosted by tom on August 04, 2005 at 09:15:16 from (199.131.159.194): I'm trying to correct a front end steering - sway issue with my 59 GMC 100 p/u truck (with stock straight axle). I pulled the kingpins and pressed out the old bushings and ordered a new set of pins and bushings. Problem is - the new standard bushings and the .010 oversize bushings are still loose in the spindle assemble. They slide in and out... I could use an epoxy to keep them from rotating and sliding out after scoring the holes so the epoxy has some grab. Or, I could have the local machine shop machine some bushings to fit. What would you do? I'm not convinced that epoxy is the best choice for the long term... thoughts? thank you in advance. tom
