Hi Tom, I think that all of the 55 to59 Chevys and GMC 1/2 tons used a floating bushing in the spindle. The 3/4 ton and 1 ton models used pressed in bushings. If the outside of the bushing has a groove around it in line with the grease hole it is a floating bushing the grease can get to the pin with the bushing in any position. HTH good luck dan wc ne wyo
